A lover
I never had
came to me recently
carried on the vagaries of the internet
she drifted against my picture
and stopped to speak
I do not recognize you
she said
either do I
I replied
Then she moved on
sailing to distant memories
on other IP's
leaving me with
a face I thought was mine
and a vague feeling
of unease

mmm, and unease is just what they poem conveys. that vague and troubling uncertainty of whether or not we really exist online is what I got from this. Well done !
this poem is another good example of what I was talking about in my soapbox comment.
Did you know you were doing all that?
I shall go and read your 'soapbox' now lol, I love it when you get up on there *grin*
