Reflection

I have divested myself

of self

Allowed the weight of expectation
to fall

Pooling the moon around my feet

to stand within

a puddle of ambient light.

I’m waiting for us

patient impatience

finger tapping

white caps breaking

upon wet sand days.

The walking agitations

of disturbed air

puffing moon dust

around us.

Grey ash stirred

offers no reflections

as it

deadens the sound

of dislocation.

Between us
the lore is strong

tales of Cuchulainn
and Boadicea
fuse to skin
igniting word-song chants
to dance upon the endless dark.

With sonorous voices
we draw the threads of gilt
to slide through finger
worn and glittering.

Casting gold
to a midnight sky
we
embroider the sun.

ooer! pretty pretty! *claps hands delightedly*

I love this. All dark and gorgeous imagery with lots of gratuitous moon references, lol.

You dont think the ending goes over the top?

Cool that you like it though, I released my death grip on my poetry and let it come for a change *grin*

man o man, I just got into one of those mind-numbing episodes with a call center and Inland Revenue.

Do you ever get stuck in those?

They take a phone system that can't handle the number of calls it gets, so it's constantly overloaded. They install a whola raft of button options for "common" questions, none of which ever seem to quite apply to your current situation. Then they get a hundred or so new immigrants with broken English to answer calls. They give them almost no information about the organisation they're answering calls for, and no training about how the system works. So everytime you ring it takes half an hour or more to get to speak to an actual person, and then they don't understand the question, have to put you on hold to go find someone who knows the answer, and then have no idea what to do when you're not satisfied with the answer they bring back to you, so they put you on hold again while they trot off to find someone who knows what they should do. I'm sure, in the hopes that you'll get sick of being on hold and go away!!
It's sooo frustrating.

It is a telling comment on the state of services these days, as you say, the frustration, the wasted time and energy, they are probably losing about 70 percent of inquiries due to the protracted process required to get any information, and for them, thats a win I suppose.

Deeeeeeep breathes, and infinite patience Moon, it is a lesson in maintaining your centred self

Or else just go down there with a sawn off, thatll get their attention *wicked gleaming eyes*
